Rotary International
is a worldwide
organisation of men and women who volunteer their time and talents to serve
their communities at home and overseas. Its more
than 1.2 million members aim to further the Rotary motto, Service Above
Self.
Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI), with its own governing body and constitution, is a territorial administrative unit of Rotary International, serving more than 57,000 Rotarians in approximately 1845 clubs grouped into 29 districts. Rotary is essentially a grassroots organisation, with most of its meaningful work being carried out at club level. A district, national and international structure is designed to support the clubs and help them provide quality service on a wider basis. Clubs meet on a regular basis, which allows members to build firm friendships. Every Rotarian has the right to attend any club meeting anywhere in the world, so you will always be made very welcome, wherever business or leisure travel may take you. Enjoy Rotary!
